چکیده

â â â  parsian alluvial fan system is a part of asyab-kharabeh fluvial system that response it to quaternary climate changes is the main goal of this study. for this aim, climatic proxies and traces in alluvial fan structure were investigated base d o n four categories: aggradation and degradation phases, debris flows, size changes in deposited materials and formation of alluvial fan tufas. primary information of these investigations were obtained via field studies and reconstruction of palaeo environments based on relative chronology. on the basis of this study, parsian alluvial fan system in addition to enjoyment of special properties such as having a catchment by the same lithology, excess of alluvial fan area relative to catchment area, establishment of carbon cycle and tectonic tranquility in quaternary is influenced on it’s evolution in quternary from climatic changes and their proxies in various forms are seen on the different parts of the alluvial fan. formation of alluvial fan tufas, intensify of debris flows and sediment variations in alluvial fan structure are the most important effects of climatic changes at quaternary in study area. in this paper, climatic change proxies such as tufa formation phases and their alternation by conglomerate deposits relatively compared to calendar of these changes in quqternary. consequently, life of the parsian alluvial fan system is guaranteed by existing closely interaction between climate, alluvial fan and tufa deposits in study area. therefore, every development planning must consider the dimentions of this interaction and otherwise, may result ecosystem destruction.â  â â

Determination of Tectonic Activity Based on the Morphology of Alluvial Fan Systems (Case Study: the Northern Slopes of Sabalan Volcanic Mount)

Aims & Backgrounds: Alluvial fans are one of the most prominent phenomena in fluvial geomorphology, which are found mostly on the mountain front. These landforms are affected by climate change and tectonic activity and record their effects. Therefore, we can use them to understand climate change and tectonic activities. The aim of this study was to determine the tectonic activity in the northe...

Analysis of Flood Hydraulic in Alluvial Fan River using CCHE2D Case Study: (Roodan River)

In this study the advantages and importance of a numerical model to predict and monitor the processes governing hydraulic changes alluvial fan river is discussed. For this reason and because of the importance of flow velocity and shear stresses resulting from the erosion of the river, A two-dimensional numerical model to simulate the CCHE2D river changes ranging from Roodan River is used. In th...

Alluvial fan facies of the Qazvin Plain: paleoclimate and tectonic implications during Quaternary

The present research focuses on a detailed facies description and interpretation of five alluvial fans of the Qazvin Plain. Beside the tectonic activity that leads to the localization of the fans on the northern margin of the Qazvin Plain, the climate has a significant role in the occurrence of their facies. The alluvial fans are divided into three facies groups: group 1, group 2, and group 3. ...

Controls on alluvial fan long - profi les

Water and debris fl ows exiting confi ned valleys have a tendency to deposit sediment on steep fans. On alluvial fans where water transport of gravel predominates, channel slopes tend to decrease downfan from ~0.10–0.04 to ~0.01 across wide ranges of climate and tectonism. Some have argued that this pattern refl ects grain-size fi ning downfan such that higher threshold slopes are required just...
